ITTA BENA -- It was announced Wednesday that Mississippi Valley State senior forward Alia Frank was named Preseason First Team All-SWAC by the conference coaches.
The Natchez native, who helped lead the Devilettes to a SWAC regular season title last season, led the team in scoring (9.7 ppg) and was second in rebounds (5.3). Frank is one of two starters returning for Valley this season.
Meanwhile, MVSU was predicted to finish sixth in the conference.
