ITTA BENA -- The Mississippi Valley State men's and women's cross country team will be traveling to Tallahassee, Fla. to compete in Friday's NCAA South Regional at Apalachee Regional Park.

Members of the women's team who will be competing include: Tamara Gillard, Savanah Gillard, Winny Tanui and Joyce Chumo.

Men's team members who will be traveling to Florida State include: Victor Kiplagat, Daniel Kibet, Jose Serrano, Juan Perez and Felix Kiprop.

The women's team recently placed second in the SWAC Championship in Clinton while the men's squad won its third SWAC title in school history.
