ITTA BENA – Seven current and former Mississippi Valley State softball student-athletes have been named National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) All-America Scholar Athletes for their academic performance during the 2012-13 term.

The list includes Alicia Lorenz, Alexandra Sullivan, Carmen Hill, Brianna Holmes, Torey Smith, Yasmin Battle and Nicole Burr.

The student-athletes were honored from maintaining at least a 3.5 GPA during the academic term.
