Both will be eligible to play in the fall.

"They're two heralded recruits that I expect to come in and make an immediate impact towards our program," said Potts. "And they both standout on the court and in the classroom."

McDonald, who played last season at Mississippi Delta Community College, is a 6-foot-1 guard who can score in a variety of ways. The Aberdeen, Miss. native, who spent his freshman year at Itawamba Community College, scored 36 against Northeast Community College on Feb. 21 to led MDCC to a 82-78 victory. McDonald also scored 18 points earlier this year in the MACJC All-Star Game. He will have two years of eligibility at MVSU.

Meanwhile, Currinton III joins Valley after a notable career at Alabama's Paul W. Bryant High School. The 6-foot-6, 190-pound guard/forward averaged 14 points and shot 56 percent from the field last season. He was bestowed with a host of awards including First Team All-Conference, All-County, All-Region, All-Area and MVP of Area Tournament.
