ITTA BENA -- Mississippi Valley State's Julian Stafford has been named to the College Football Performance Awards Watch List for kickoff returners.

The Memphis native, who returned two kickoffs for touchdowns last year, is the third Delta Devil this preseason to be named to the CFPA Watch List for their respective position. MVSU defensive lineman Robert Simpson and defensive back Kevin Eugene were previously named to the the Watch List.

Last season, Stafford averaged nearly 30 yards per return while leading the Delta Devils in receiving with 51 catches for 779 yards and four touchdowns. He returned a kick 88 yards for a score last season against Grambling State and a 95-yarder at Texas Southern on the last game of the year.
