ITTA BENA -- Shanesse Spratt's valiant effort last week at Nicholls State has earned her SWAC Defensive Player of the Week.

The Katy, Texas native scored MVSU's lone goal Sept. 6 in a 5-1 loss to Nicholls State. She finished with two shots (one on goal) in 79 minutes of action. After recording seven shots, two points and one goal on the season, Spratt currently is second on the team in those respective categories.

The Devilettes are set to visit La.-Lafayette on Sunday.
