ITTA BENA -- Mississippi Valley State's Halee Clark has been named SWAC Newcomer of the Week for her standout perfomance last week.

In three games last week, the Denton, Texas native finished with 25 kills, 21 digs and a hitting percentage of .269. In a loss to Arkansas-Pine Bluff, Clark has 10 kills and 12 digs.

Clark is in her first year at MVSU after transferring from Seminole State Community College.
