ITTA BENA -- Mississippi Valley State third baseman German Hays has been named Second Team Preseason All-SWAC by College Sports Madness. 

The Culiacan, Mexico native led the Delta Devils in batting average (.310), hits (45) and slugging percentage (.375). The Southwest Community College transfer is expected to play shortstop this season for MVSU.
