ITTA BENA -- Mississippi Valley State's Kalik May has been named the SWAC Hitter of the Week.

Last week, the Northport, Ala. native helped lead the Delta Devils to a 2-1 series win over rival Jackson State. In three games, he finished with four hits -- including two triples -- and four RBIs. He also had two stolen bases. It marks the first weekly honor of the season for the junior outfielder.

This week, Valley will be hosting Alcorn State starting Saturday at 1 p.m. in Moorhead, Miss.
