ITTA BENA -- Mississippi Valley State junior defensive tackle Robert Simpson has been named to The Sports Network FCS All-America Team.

Simpson, a Gulfport native, was named to the third team. He led the FCS in tackles for loss with 22.5 and ranked third in the SWAC in sacks with seven. He also recovered two fumbles and had 59 tackles.
