Archie Cooley's Devils Den

Named in honor of Archie Cooley, affectionately known as the “Gunslinger,” the Devils Den was dedicated in 2017 as the operational heartbeat of the football program. The facility reflects Cooley’s enduring legacy of discipline, innovation, and player development, blending tradition with the modern demands of collegiate athletics.

The Devils Den serves as the program’s headquarters and houses the team’s locker room, conference and meeting spaces, laundry and equipment facilities, a healthy snack bar, and a fully equipped athletic training room. Coaches’ offices are centrally located to encourage accessibility and communication, reinforcing a unified program culture.

Also located within the facility is the Ashley Ambrose Lounge, a dedicated space where student-athletes can study, recharge, or unwind. Together, these spaces support the holistic development of the football student-athlete—on the field, in the classroom, and beyond—while honoring a figure whose influence still defines the program’s identity.
