The Mississippi Valley State University Sports Information Department handles public relations for the university's 14 athletic sports. The Sports Information office conducts press conferences, produces game programs and media guides, coordinates interviews, maintains statistics and serves as the webmaster of MVSU Athletics, www.MVSUsports.com.

Print/TV/Radio/Online Media:
One season pass will be issued to individuals, identified by the news organization, that cover Mississippi Valley State University on a regular basis.

Requests must be submitted at least 48 hours prior to the event.
Photographers:
Game passes to photographers will be given to working press only. Any photos taken at a MVSU sporting event can be used by the Sports Information Department for current or future use. Photographers must agree to this standard working an MVSU sporting event. Â
Game Services:
Prior to the game, fact sheets, statistics, media guides and/or game programs will be available to the media on press row. Game statistics will be distributed during media timeouts, at halftime and following the game.
Please remember that press row is a working press area and that there is absolutely no cheering or excessive noise allowed. Those who do not adhere to the rule will be asked to leave the press box or press row.
Interview Policies
MVSU student-athletes and coaches will be available for interviews throughout the season. All interviews must be cleared and scheduled through the Sports Information office.
Media members are generally welcome to attend practice sessions but must check-in with the MVSU Sports Information office prior to attending. Interviews should be conducted at least 15 minutes prior to the beginning of practice. Requested coaches and players will be available to the media after a brief cooling-off period following each game.
The MVSU Sports Information office will make every effort to insure that the media gets the access and information needed to meet their deadlines.
Official Statistics Change Request Policy
To preserve the integrity, consistency, and official recordkeeping of Mississippi Valley State Athletics statistics, all requests for statistical corrections or changes must follow the protocol below:
Authorized Request Source Only
Official statistical change requests will be accepted only from the Head Coach of the respective sport program or the Head Coach’s officially designated representative (designee).
No Third-Party Requests
Requests from student-athletes, parents, relatives, guardians, friends, acquaintances, or other third parties will not be accepted, reviewed, or processed.
Program-Level Communication Required
Any potential discrepancy in official statistics must be communicated internally within the sport program and then submitted through the authorized coach/designee channel.
Final Authority and Review
Mississippi Valley State Athletics Communications/Brand Advancement (or designated statistics office) will review submitted requests in accordance with NCAA, conference, and institutional reporting standards. Acceptance of a request is not automatic and is subject to verification.
Policy Enforcement
Communication outside this protocol may be acknowledged, but no action will be taken unless and until the request is formally submitted by the Head Coach or approved designee.
