R.W. Harrison HPER Complex
The R.W. Harrison HPER Complex is a 5,000-seat, multi-purpose facility located on the campus of Mississippi Valley State University in Itta Bena, Mississippi. Opened in 1977, the complex has long served as a centerpiece for Delta Devils athletics and campus life.
The facility has been the primary home for MVSU basketball since its opening, hosting men’s and women’s games from 1977–2012 before resuming play in 2016. Volleyball competition followed a similar path, with the Delta Devils calling the HPER Complex home from 2005–2012 and again from 2016 to the present.
In 2016, the R.W. Harrison HPER Complex underwent a major transformation with $17.5 million in upgrades. The renovation modernized the arena, improved fan amenities, and added state-of-the-art technology classrooms, strengthening its role as both an athletics venue and an academic hub.
Today, the R.W. Harrison HPER Complex continues to honor Mississippi Valley State’s rich athletic tradition while providing a modern, forward-focused environment for student-athletes, fans, and the university community.
