Box Score ITTA BENA -- The Mississippi Valley State women's basketball team won its second game of the season Saturday with a 73-63 victory over Talladega College at the Harrison HPER Complex.
In a game that included 10 lead changes, it was a tug-of-war between the Devilettes (2-5) and the Tornadoes (5-4). MVSU led 39-31 at halftime.
The Devilettes won despite 24 turnovers. MVSU's Lenise Stallings (21 points) Alia Frank (20) points both had season highs as the Devilettes held on to defeat Talladega despite a late-game run.
Joncyee Sanders had eight points and eight assists and four steals for the Devilettes while her sister Jasmyne Sanders added six points off the bench.
Megan Iloff led Talladega with 14 points.
Valley shot 50 percent from the field and hit 7-of-18 three-pointers.
MVSU will be back in action next Saturday when they host Tuskegee.
