ITTA BENA -- The Mississippi Valley State softball team will face Jackson State Friday at 2 p.m. live on ESPNU. Currently, the teams are tied for first place in the SWAC Eastern Division with a perfect 7-0 record.

Adam Aminn will handle the play-by-play for ESPNU while Garland Cooper will be the analyst. Cooper played first base at Northwestern and still holds the Big Ten record of 55 career home runs.

The Devilettes (20-17) are coming off a three-game sweep over Alabama A&M last weekend in Normal. Sunday's victory over the Lady Bulldogs marked the 10th straight season the Devilettes have reached the 20-win mark.

MVSU and JSU will conclude the series on Saturday with a doubleheader slated for 1 p.m.
