Box Score OXFORD -- The Mississippi Valley State softball team suffered a setback Friday in the Red & Blue Classic opener as the Devilettes fell 5-1 to UT-Martin. 

Xiomara Perez had two of MVSU's five hits and Alexandria Robertson had a double for Valley (1-8), which dropped its sixth straight game.

Alicia Lorenz (0-5) worked all six innings and up eight hits and five earned runs. She had six strikeouts and three walks. 

The Devilettes will play two games during the Classic on Saturday with its first coming against Middle Tennessee State at 9 a.m. Afterwards, they'll take on Drake at 6 p.m.
