LEXINGTON, KY. -- The Mississippi Valley State softball team will attempt to rebound from a three-game series loss at Alabama State on Wednesday when the Devilettes travel to face SEC foe Kentucky (31-8). It will mark the first of two stops in Kentucky for Valley (7-29), who will be at Western Kentucky on Thursday.
Garrett leading Devilettes at the plate MVSU sophomore Jahcenda Garrett currently is first on the team in batting average (.333) and is currently riding a 4-game hitting streak. The Nashville native went 3-for-3 at Alabama State on Saturday.
Talton racking up homeruns MVSU freshman Deja Talton is tied for fourth in the SWAC in home runs with four and is first on the team in RBIs (17). She's also third on the team in hits (25).
Moffett third in SWAC in stolen basesMVSU junior Omeshia Moffett is currently third in the SWAC in stolen bases (15). She had a season-high three stolen bases at Savannah State on March 1.
