Greenwood, Miss. --- The Devilettes of Mississippi Valley State University wrapped up their regular season campaign, dropping 63-51 to the Lady Golden Lions of the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff.
 
MVSU starting the scoring with a jumper by Chelsea Mabry at the 18:45 mark, UAPB responded with a jumper of their own to tie the score. The Devilettes proceeded to go on a 7-0 run over the next couple of minutes. The Lady Golden Lions steadily worked to cut into the home team's lead and eventually took a commanding, 36-26, lead into halftime.
 
During the first, MVSU scored 12 points in the paint and seven points off turnovers. Their opponents were able to land 14 points in the paint and 11 points on turnovers. The opening minutes of the second half were not as hurried as the first and scoring was kept to a minimum.
 
Ashley Beals led the Devilettes with 16-points, seven rebounds, six steals and one assist. Christina Reed tallied 14-points, six rebounds, four assists, two blocks and one steal.  
 
Destiny Brewton and Jazmyne Victorian paced the team with 11-points.
