Battle of Highway 82 Ends in Favor of Lady Bulldogs

ITTA BENA – The Devilettes' softball team hosted the Lady Bulldogs of Mississippi State University at the Mississippi Valley State University Softball Field, dropping the contest 6-0.

MVSU allowed six runs, 11 hits and one error from MSU. Mississippi State started scoring in the opening inning with a two runs. In the second the Lady Bulldogs pulled further ahead with three runs before wrapping scoring in the fourth with one run.

The two teams faced off on a sunny 81 degree day in front of a crowd of 117.

The Devilettes have shifted their focus to conference play as they await the final standings.
