OXFORD, Miss. – The Devilettes of Mississippi Valley State University wrapped up non-conference play at the Rebels of the University of Mississippi, falling 67-30.

Mississippi Valley was paced by Christina Reed, who tallied eight points, three rebounds, three blocks and two steals. Lauren Elliot put up seven points, six rebounds, two assists and two steals. Ashley Beals added six rebounds as well.

Ole Miss was able to surge ahead in the opening quarter 22-10. MVSU was far from out of the contest, down by 12 going into the second. The final ten minutes of the first half tallied 17-12 in favor of the Rebels.

The second half proved to be an insurmountable battle for the Devilettes as they tallied four points in each of the final quarters. The Rebels put up 16 and 12 points respectively.
