Devilettes Declaw Lady Tigers in Overtime

ITTA BENA — Mississippi Valley State women's basketball team pulled the rug from under the Lady Tigers of Texas Southern University's feet, squeaking out a 75-74 victory in overtime.

Ashley Beals, who posted a double-double in the Devilettes' victory over the Lady Panthers of Prairie View A & M, recorded another double-double of 26-points and 12 rebounds. She connected on 9-18 field goals attempted and went 8-of-10 at the free throw line. Indianola native, Kristy Parker scored 13-points for Mississippi Valley.
