FAYETTEVILLE, Ark.- Mississippi Valley's soccer team traveled to Fayetteville, Arkansas, to take on the ranked Razorbacks of the University of Arkansas.
The contest ended in favor of Arkansas, however Mississippi showed some positive strides in ball movements. Inside the goalkeepers' box, MVSU's keepers allowed 11 goals, however they faced 43 shots during the contest, 22 of which were one target.
The Razorbacks scored six goals in the opening half and an additional five in the final 45 minutes of the contest. Despite things weighing heavily in favor of the home team, MVSU moved the ball down the field to get off a few shots.
The Devilettes will take on Austin Peay State University on September 8th at 7:00 pm in Clarksville, Tennessee.
