UAPB Uses Late Rally to Down Devilettes Soccer, 3-2

ITTA BENA, Miss. - Mississippi Valley State soccer led throughout the first 60 minutes of action but gave up three late goals within 15 minutes as UAPB came from behind for a 3-2 conference victory on Sunday.

How It Happened

  • In the 44th minute, McCool's corner kick found Lindo amongst the UAPB defenders. Lindo used her height connecting on a header ultimately finding the back of the net for a 2-0 MVSU lead.
  • UAPB were the aggressors in the second period scoring three goals in 15 minutes.
  • Kaylie Gabel scored their first goal in the 61st while Sarah Wright recorded back-to-back goals in the 79th and 84th minutes for the UAPB win.
