Itta Bena, Ms.- The Devilettes lose to the Panthers of Prairie View A&M University by a score of 89-72 in a Southwestern Athletic Conference game on Monday night inside the R.W. Harrison HPER Complex.
Ayonna Cotten lead Mississippi Valley in points with 19 on 5-12 shooting. Diamond Wraggs entered the game off the bench and compiled a game high 12 rebounds to go along with her 12 points. Natalia Ready also had a huge game for the Devilettes with 16 points on 3-5 from behind the three point line.
Mississippi Valley shot 36 percent from the field as a team and Prairie View shot 43.5 percent.
Dominique Newman has the hot hand for Prairie View, she ended with a game high 29 points to lead her team.
The Devilettes are on the road this coming weekend with another conference game against the Tigers of Jackson State. Tip set for 2:00 PM
