Hattiesburg, Ms.- Mississippi Valle State Devilettes fall to the University of Southern Mississippi by a score of 8-0 on Friday evening in Hattiesburg.

As a team the Devilettes had 22 opportunities at the plate with only three hits and no runs scored.

Ashlyn Matthews pitched the entire game for Mississippi Valley and only gave up seven hits out of 24 at bats for Southern Mississippi.

Hannah Borden of Southern Mississippi had two at bats with three runs scored and two RBI's to lead her team.

The Devilettes are back in action Saturday, February 8th against St. Louis as they continue tournament play in Hattiesburg.
