BATON ROUGE, La. – The Mississippi Valley State women's soccer program went up one-nil less than 90 seconds into the contest with its first road score of the season but would not score again en route to a 5-1 setback opposite the Lady Jaguars.

Beatriz Kretteis scored for the second time in 2021 with possibly the quickest goal in program history, needing only 85 seconds to put one into the net on an unassisted masterpiece.
 
The Green and White would have its cleanest game so far, amassing just three fouls to Southern's nine as well as producing a corner kick in the second half.
 
Two of the club's three shots-on-goal came off the foot of Kretteis, who had three shots in total, with the other coming via Taiwo Badejo as Mackenzie McCarthy racked up 12 more saves.
