ITTA BENA, Miss. – The Mississippi Valley State University women's basketball program will host a power five, ranked opponent in the Mississippi Delta for the first time in seven seasons as the 16th-ranked Utah Utes come to town for a nationally televised showdown on ESPN+.

Mississippi Valley State Overview:
 
MVSU is the top dog in the conference regarding both fewest fouls per game (16.2) and free-throw percentage (70.9%) plus a top-five rating for assist-to-turnover ratio (0.62), assists a game (11.0), and turnover margin (-0.67).
 
Zaria Harleaux has quickly established herself as the club's top rebounder, slotting second in the SWAC at 7.3 boards per contest on top of averaging nearly ten points a game (9.8) and being the only lady with multiple blocks (2).
 
The newly announced SWAC Impact Player of the Week Zakiya Mahoney is the team leader in almost every category, topping the Devilettes with 2.00 steals per game (6th in SWAC), 11.3 points per game, 12 total steals, and 17 assists.
 
Scouting the #16 Utah Utes:
 
Utah is one of just 27 teams remaining in the country to remain undefeated including an impressive 46-point win over #16 Oklahoma and victories over Ole Miss and Alabama.
 
The Red and White have been utterly dominant this season, ranking top-ten in the NCAA in terms of scoring offense (95.0), scoring margin (31.2), free-throw percentage (81.1%), free throws made per game (20.00), field-goal percentage (52.4%), assists per game (21.7), and assist-to-turnover ratio (1.51).
 
Isabel Palmer is one of the eight student-athletes to not miss a single free throw in women's basketball over 13 tries.
 
Alissa Pili is the offensive cog that runs the Utes' attack, averaging 18.5 points while connecting on a blistering 68.1% of her shots (6th in NCAA).
 
Ines Vieira ranks third in the Pac-12 and top-45 overall with an average of five assists a night with 30 through six matchups.
