JACKSON, Miss. – The Mississippi Valley State University softball program matched the Lady Tigers all the way up to the sixth inning, but two runs was all it took for JSU to pull out the tight victory, 2-1 at JSU Softball Field.

• Shelby Carson drove in Jaylon Davis with a comebacker up the box for the club's only run of the night while both Page and Brianna Alston tallied the other two base knocks.
