DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – The Mississippi Valley State University softball program took a 1-0 lead in the second and tacked on an insurance run in the sixth but a three-run seventh by B-CU, all with no outs, sunk the Devilettes' hopes of salvaging the series.

- Cailyn Peterson connected on her second career home run and first of the season to get Valley on the board in the second, only the third round-tripper by the Green and White in 2022.

- Jaylon Davis went 2-for-4 with a stolen base, tying Brianna Alston for the most multi-hit outing this year at five while extending her on-base streak to a season-best nine consecutive contests.

- A'tajua Wren was marvelous through the first six frames, holding Bethune-Cookman scoreless with two strikeouts but picked up the loss as the Lady Wildcats came back to win in the seventh.
