  • Jaylon Davis also homered on her final day as a Devilette, barreling a solo shot over the fence for the team's only run in the opener. For the day she collected three hits in seven tries (.429), scored and drove in a run in both matchups, and ending her tenure on a 16-game on-base streak.

Notes

  • These two teams have been evenly matched against one another over the past seven seasons with Valley and A&M (11-11) splitting its last 22 meetings with the run differential just as close as AAMU is now +4 over that span (113-109).

Head Coach Jimmy Buckner ends his first season in charge with 11 victories, the most-ever by a first-year coach of the program and the club's first double-digit win season since 2018.
