  • Jaylon Davis had a scorching hot weekend, finishing game three by going 2-for-3 a double for a 6-for-7 series overall as she will be in the hunt for SWAC Player of the Week.

  • Daisy Page had another complete game, allowing zero earned runs (three total), five hits and no walks to go along with a trio of strikeouts to move two games above .500 on the campaign at 7-5 while shaving another 23 points off her ERA, which is now down to 2.59.

  • Keisha White was the game-winning run, scoring twice with a single, a walk and a stolen base with Sydney Wesley driving her home on an RBI fielder's choice.

  • Brianna Alston set the table for the seventh-inning rally, reaching on a hit-by-pitch before stealing third which caused an overthrow by the catcher to advance White to third and bring in Alston to tie the ballgame.

  • Cailyn Peterson showed her selfless side with her third career sacrifice fly (first of the season) and Jade Smith stole second base as a pinch-runner to wrap-up the contributors.

A midweek trip to Holly Springs, Mississippi awaits Coach Buckner's ladies as they travel to Rust College for a Wednesday matinee at the Marshall Academy on their way to Daytona Beach, Florida to face Bethune-Cookman.
