ITTA BENA, Miss. - Aulora Edwards lead Mississippi Valley State University Devilettes past Rust College Bearcats 22-3 on Tuesday afternoon at MVSU Softball Field. 

Edwards came to the ballpark and meant business, driving in five on three hits to five on three hits. She also drove in runs on a double in the first and a double in the fourth.

The Devilettes got on the board in the first inning. Kayla Robinson was hit by a pitch, driving in a run.

Morgan Gutierrez got the start for MVSU. The righty allowed five hits and three runs over five innings, striking out six.

The Devilettes totaled 13 hits. Edwards, Robinson, Shelby Carson, and Jade Smith all managed multiple hits for MVSU. Edwards went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead the team in hits.

Up Next: 

The Devilettes will travel to Grambling State to compete against the Lady Tigers in a double-header game on Wednesday, April 19, at GSU Softball Complex. The first pitch for game one is set at 2:00 p.m., and game two is set at 4:00 p.m.
