INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Mississippi Valley State University athletics program would like to congratulate
Toni Carter on being selected to attend the NCAA's Emerging Leaders Seminar from January 28-30 in Indianapolis.

Carter, a former student-athlete on the cross country, track & field, and tennis teams, currently works as an Athletic Academic Counselor for the Delta Devils and Devilettes.

The seminar is a "professional development event provides leadership, educational and transitional programming for current graduate assistants and interns from NCAA member schools, conference offices and affiliate organizations. The three-day program educates, develops and connects selected learners and equips attending young professionals with the skills necessary to accelerate their career progression in college sports,".
Â
All who are present at the seminar gain valuable knowledge and insight into the world of collegiate sports while working on their critical thinking skills while gaining a huge amount of exposure to networking resources via industry experts and NCAA national office representatives.
Â
Topics of interest to be discussed include but are not limited to: mastering difficult conversations, managing others, inclusive leadership, and navigating the job search.

For those interested in applying for the 2027 seminar, the application portal will open in early September 2026 and close approximately one month later.
