ITTA BENA, Miss. – The Mississippi Valley State softball program has revealed its 42-game slate including 15 homes games and a pair of early season tournaments.

Head Coach
Taliyah Riddick-Waters and the ladies open on the home diamond versus the Rust College Bearcats on Wednesday, February 11.

Shortly thereafter, the Devilettes travel to Tennessee-Martin for the annual Skyhawk Invitational where they will face the hosts from UTM twice, Valparaiso two times, and Saint Louis over the three-day weekend event.

The following weekend, the Green and White will partake in the HBCU Celebration Classic hosted by Alabama State in Montgomery, playing two SWAC schools (Alcorn and Grambling State) plus one team apiece from the two NCAA Division II HBCU conferences, Miles (SIAC) and Bluefield State (CIAA).

Southwestern Athletic Conference action starts against the Hornets of ASU for a three-game series from March 6-7 on the
MVSU Softball Field.

Off to the Sunshine State's capital goes Valley on March 13-14 to take on the reigning SWAC East Division champion Florida A&M before returning to campus for a season-long five-game homestand spanning March 18 through March 21, hosting Arkansas-Pine Bluff for a doubleheader before Alabama A&M comes to town.

Next up is the battle for Magnolia State supremacy via a Tuesday twin-bill under the lights in Lorman opposite Alcorn and a weekend set at the 2025 SWAC Tournament champions, Jackson State, then finally wrapping up its home-and-home series with Rust in Holly Springs on April Fool's Day.

Bethune-Cookman makes the long bus ride from Daytona Beach to the Mississippi Delta on April 3 and 4 prior to another non-conference doubleheader at UAPB on April 8.

The AAMU Bulldogs are on the docket in Rocket City two days after their date with the Golden Lions whereas the final home series of 2026 will take place against the Rattlers with the Senior Day doubleheader set for 11 a.m. / 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 18.

MVSU ends the regular season at the birthplace of the Civil Rights Movement, Montgomery, Alabama, opposite Alabama State (April 24-25).

Mississippi Valley hopes to snap a seven-year SWAC Tournament drought and if it can, they will head to Gulfport, Mississippi with a shot at the championship from Tuesday, May 5 to Friday, May 8.
