GRAMBLING, La. – The Mississippi Valley State University women's basketball program did not have a single shot blocked for the first time in 2025-26 and got a nice contribution from Sydnei Marshall off the pine during an 84-59 loss at Grambling State on Monday.

• Marshall was the most productive player on the court, topping the Green and White with 17 points via a season-high seven field goals (7-for-12, 58.3%) with five boards, a pair of dimes, and a club-most three steals.

 

• Ja'la Douglas was the other student-athlete to post a season-best, hauling in six rebounds in 19 minutes.

 

• Ariel Jefferson was MVSU's top rebounder on the night at nine and Kylah McCullers took the home assists crown with four.

 

• Jaeda Murphy added a respectable 14 points to the scoreboard in addition to a trio of assists.
