ITTA BENA, Miss. – The Mississippi Valley State University softball program jumped on Bama State's starter Amanda Cintron early and often, scoring three runs before she was chased after getting only two outs, but once she was removed, the offense stalled as the Hornets came back to triumph over the Diamond Devilettes, 8-4.

- She also walked once and singled herself.

- Ashtyn Clark drove in a ribbie on a knock in addition to tossing two innings of relief.

- Hailey Akers collected another multi-hit day, recording a double and a single, crossing the dish one time.
