Itta Bena, Miss. - Mississippi Valley State Athletics returns to action this week with a full slate of competition across several programs, along with a major community event set for the weekend.

Baseball opens the week on the road with a midweek matchup at Memphis before shifting focus to Southwestern Athletic Conference play. The Delta Devils will travel to Tallahassee for a weekend series against Florida A&M.

The Mississippi Valley State softball program will host Florida A&M for a three-game series as part of Senior Weekend, honoring its graduating student-athletes.

On the track, the Delta Devils men's and women's programs will compete in the Strawberry Relays on Friday in Hammond, continuing their outdoor season against regional competition.

Mississippi Valley State's men's and women's tennis teams will compete in the 2026 SWAC Championships, held in New Orleans. The women's team enters as the No. 8 seed and will face No. 1 seed Jackson State, while the men's team, seeded No. 6, will take on No. 4 seed Southern. Tournament play begins Friday.

In addition to competition, Mississippi Valley State Athletics will host its Green and White Spring Fest and Community Day on Saturday, April 18, 2026. The free event is open to the public and will feature food, a flag football game, inflatables for children, a car and bike show, horse rides, and more. Fans are encouraged to bring family and friends for a day of entertainment and community engagement on campus.
