THE DELTA | Mississippi Valley State University Athletics continued its strong commitment to classroom success during the Spring 2026 semester, as Delta Devil student-athletes posted a 3.19 departmental cumulative GPA and a 3.16 spring term GPA.

The department recorded 21 student-athletes with a perfect 4.00 GPA, 50 student-athletes between a 3.99 and 3.50, and 58 student-athletes between a 3.49 and 3.00. In addition, 125 student-athletes finished with a cumulative GPA above 3.00.

Twelve of MVSU's 14 NCAA-sponsored teams earned a 3.00 or better spring term GPA, led by volleyball at 3.592 and soccer at 3.577.

"Our student-athletes continue to represent Mississippi Valley State University with pride in the classroom and in competition," said Director of Athletics Dr. Alecia Shields-Gadson. "We are proud of their commitment to academic excellence and the standard they continue to set for our department."
