THE DELTA | Mississippi Valley State Athletics has announced the official game themes and fan colors for the Delta Devils' five home football contests during the 2026 season at Rice-Totten Stadium.

The home schedule begins Saturday, Sept. 19, when MVSU welcomes Delta State for the Delta Classic powered by CB&S Bank. Kickoff is scheduled for 6 p.m., and fans are encouraged to participate in a "White Out" by wearing white throughout the stadium.

Mississippi Valley State will host Prairie View A&M on Saturday, Oct. 3, at 2 p.m. for the Health & Wellness Game. The designated theme will be a "Pink Out" in support of health awareness initiatives.

Homecoming returns to Rice-Totten Stadium on Saturday, Oct. 17, as the Delta Devils face Bethune-Cookman at 2 p.m. Fans are encouraged to display their Valley pride by wearing green and white.

MVSU will renew its in-state rivalry with Alcorn State on Saturday, Oct. 31, at 2 p.m. for the return of "The Game of the Century." The 1984 matchup between Mississippi Valley State and Alcorn State became known as "The Game of the Century," featuring two undefeated, nationally ranked SWAC programs before a crowd of more than 63,000 fans at Mississippi Veterans Memorial Stadium. Led by Willie "Satellite" Totten and Jerry Rice, MVSU's record-setting offense battled Alcorn State in a historic showdown. The legendary contest remains one of the most memorable games in HBCU and Mississippi football history. The highly anticipated matchup will feature a "Red Out," with Delta Devil fans encouraged to fill the stadium in red.

The home schedule concludes Saturday, Nov. 21, when Mississippi Valley State hosts Alabama A&M at 2 p.m. The contest will serve as the First Responders and Military Appreciation Game, as well as Senior Day. The designated fan theme will be "Fatigue," with supporters encouraged to wear camouflage or military-inspired attire.
