THE DELTA | Mississippi Valley State University Athletics will host its inaugural Youth Coaches Summit and Meet & Greet on Saturday, Aug. 15, at 11 a.m. inside the R.W. Harrison HPER Arena.
The free event is designed to bring together youth, middle school, high school varsity and junior varsity, and competitive club coaches from across the region for professional development, networking and meaningful discussions centered on the growth of student-athletes.
The summit will feature an MVSU coach's roundtable focused on program vision and coaching philosophy. Participants will have an opportunity to hear directly from Mississippi Valley State coaches while exchanging ideas and gaining insight into effective leadership and athlete development.
Attendees will also participate in a recruiting and eligibility seminar that will provide information regarding the collegiate recruiting process and academic compliance standards. The session is intended to help coaches better prepare their student-athletes for opportunities at the next level.
Additional activities will include community networking opportunities, allowing coaches to connect, share resources and build relationships with fellow professionals throughout the area. A complimentary meal and refreshments will be provided to all registered attendees.
