Shanika Randle

Shanika Randle, a Houston, Miss. native, is in her second year as an assistant coach for the MVSU softball program. She helped coach the Devilettes to a SWAC Tournament title and an NCAA Tournament appearance in 2013. She comes to MVSU after spending one year as a student volunteer at Mississippi State University. She earned her bachelors degree from MVSU in 2008 and played two seasons for the Devilettes after transferring from Northeast Mississippi Community College. While at Northeast, she was named Preseason NJCAA Freshman All-American (2008) and helped lead the team to the MACJC North Division title (2008). Randle was also named First Team All-State, All-Region 23 and All-North Division. In two years at Valley, Randle batted .255 with four home runs, 30 runs scored, 40 hits and 18 RBIs. She had 10 stolen bases, eight doubles and three triples to her credit. While a Devilette student-athlete, Randle and her teammates won two SWAC Eastern championships (2009-10) and one SWAC Tournament title (2009).

Randle earned her associate’s degree in Mathematics from Northeast Mississippi along with a bachelors degree in Mathematics from MVSU before getting her master’s in Physical Education from Mississippi State.
