Sierra Hollins was named Head Softball Coach at Mississippi Valley State University in 2026, bringing a diverse coaching background and a passion for developing student-athletes both on and off the field. A former student-athlete at Alabama A&M University, Hollins later earned her Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences from Tuskegee University.
Prior to joining the Delta Devils, Hollins served as Head Softball Coach at Elizabeth City State University, where she oversaw all aspects of the program, including recruiting, player development, budgeting, scheduling, fundraising, and game-day operations. Under her leadership, the Vikings returned to the CIAA Championship Tournament for the first time in six years while making significant strides in offensive production and overall competitiveness. Before leading the program at Elizabeth City State, Hollins spent two seasons as an assistant coach at Allen University, where she helped develop conference-leading pitchers and hitters.
Hollins has also gained valuable experience on the international stage, serving as the head coach of Team Africa and coaching against the professional Atlanta Smoke, one of the premier teams in professional women’s fast pitch softball. These opportunities have broadened her perspective on the game and strengthened her commitment to preparing student-athletes to compete at the highest levels.
Known for her energy, competitive spirit, and commitment to building meaningful relationships, Hollins believes successful programs are built on accountability, discipline, and family. She is dedicated to developing well-rounded student-athletes who excel academically, athletically, and personally.
A native of Georgia, Hollins is married to her husband, Cameron, and together they are the proud parents of two daughters Cynavia & Solana Hollins.
