Box Score MONTGOMERY, Ala. -- The Mississippi Valley State women's volleyball team ended its regular season schedule Saturday with a 3-2 win over Alabama State.

The Devilettes won the fifth set, 15-13, to defeat a Lady Hornets team that defeated MVSU 3-0 on Oct. 26 in Itta Bena.

The win gives Valley some momentum going into next week's SWAC Tournament in Jackson. The tournament is set for Nov. 17-18 at Jackson State.

Chylla Nault scored the winning point on an assist from April Brown, who had 27 assists on the day.

MVSU (9-13, 3-5 SWAC) won the first two sets, 25-23 and 25-19. But Alabama State fought back taking the next two, 25-22 and 25-15.

Brychana Williams led Valley with 16 kills and had a hitting percentage of .222. Nault (11 kills) and Taylor Delaire (10 kill) each had double-figure kills.
