MONTGOMERY, Ala. -- In the final conference series of the regular season, the Mississippi Valley State baseball team was swept at Alabama State this weekend.

The Hornets defeated the Delta Devils (14-32, 10-14 SWAC) 5-4 and 4-2 on Saturday before finishing off the sweep with a 12-2 victory in seven innings on Sunday.

It ended Valley's six-game win streak it had entering the series.

The Delta Devils will be on the road at Oral Roberts on Saturday. The teams will then play a doubleheader on Sunday.
