Box Score LORMAN, Miss. -- It was a swift victory Wednesday for Mississippi Valley State, as the Devilette volleyball team captured its first conference win of the season following a 3-0 sweep of Alcorn State. 

MVSU (8-15, 1-2 SWAC) rolled past the Lady Braves 3-0 to rebound from Tuesday's non-conference setback to Arkansas-Monticello. 

Valley held on for a 28-26 win in the first set before taking the final two, 25-13 and 25-19. 

Taylor Littleton led MVSU with a season-high nine kills with a hitting percentage of .500. while Halle Gayten chipped in eight kills. 

Athena Abary paced the Devilettes with 16 assists. 

MVSU will be off until Oct. 15 when they host Jackson State.
