ITTA BENA -- After a nearly a week off, the Mississippi Valley State men's basketball team is preparing to get back in the swing of things Saturday at 4 p.m. when the Delta Devils host Tougaloo College at 4 p.m. at the Leflore County Civic Center.
MVSU (2-6) is coming off a 90-89 win over Longwood in the Barclays Center Classic in West Long Branch, N.J.

Following Saturday's game, the Delta Devils will head north to face Northwestern on Dec. 16 at 7 p.m.
About MVSU
Junior guard Anthony McDonald is leading the Delta Devils in scoring (15.3) and has scored in double figures in every game this season. He scored a career-high 26 points at Monmouth last week, connecting on six 3's.
Just get eight games into his career, freshman forward James Currington has proved to be an important piece of the MVSU team. The Tuscaloosa, Ala. native scored a career-high 17 points last week in a win over Longwood University in the Barclay Center Classic. He currently leads the team in rebounding (5.3).
Valley currently leads the SWAC in points per game with 77.4.
About Tougaloo College
The Bulldogs (4-7) are riding a four-game win streak, including a 72-69 win over Belhaven on Tuesday night. Rosedale native Cordaryl Campbell leads Tougaloo, averaging 18 points per game while Trevis Thomas and Gary Love both average 16.7 points per game. Campbell has scored in double figures in all but two games this season, including a 31-point outburst against Lincoln (Mo.) on Nov. 29.
The Bulldogs are coached by former longtime MVSU assistant Harvey Wardell.
