Box Score ITTA BENA, Miss. -- The Mississippi Valley State volleyball team suffered a 3-1 loss to Alabama A&M on Friday at the Charles Lackey Recreational Center.
Alabama A&M won the first set 25-21 before the Devilettes tied the game after winning the second set, 25-14. The Lady Bulldogs won the third and fourth sets, 25-20 and 25-18, respectively.
Halle Gayten led MVSU with 10 of its 29 kills in the game and Liyah Davis had three service aces. Meanwhile, Alexandria Garland finished with 26 assists for Valley (2-15, 0-2 SWAC). Ilashia Hale chipped in eight kills and five blocks (four assists).
MVSU will be back in action Saturday at home against Alabama State at 1 p.m.
