Box Score PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla. -- The Mississippi Valley State baseball team played in its final game of the Snowbird Classic on Sunday with a 11-1 loss to Kansas at North Charlotte Regional Park. 

The Jayhawks racked up 17 hits and scored four runs in two separate innings to defeat the Delta Devils.

MVSU's lone run came in the fifth inning when Chris McWright's ground out brought Terrance Steele home. Steele had two of Valley's four hits, including a double, in the game along with a pair of stolen bases. 

Connor Sheppeard (0-2) gave up five earned runs on nine hits with one strikeout in the loss. 

Valley will be at Alabama State on Saturday to play in a doubleheader starting at 1 p.m. The teams will also playe a doubleheader on Sunday.
