MVSU soccer falls in season opener

Box Score HATTIESBURG, Miss. -- The Mississippi Valley State women's soccer team put up a valiant effort but was unable to come away with a victory Tuesday night at Southern Miss in its season-opening game.

A header by All-SWAC selection Nykosi Simmons went high at the 11:02 mark and Josee Primeau's shot went wide with 36:50 on the clock.
