He surpassed the 100-yard mark for the second time this season last week against Alcorn State, rushing for 120 yards on 16 attempts. Half of his yards last week came on a 61-yard scamper.

Daniels sees first action of MVSU careerRedshirt junior wide receiver Keenan Daniels played in the first game of his career at Valley last week and finished with two receptions for 35 yards. He is in his first year at MVSU after spending time at Delta State and Coahoma Community College.

MVSU starting QB job still up for grabsSenior quarterback Patrick Ivy got the start last week, but split time with Dontrinell Scott and Quantavius Peterson against the Braves. This week, Comegy said he may use multiple quarterbacks against Alabama A&M.

"We have to figure, right now, who's our quarterback, I believe……I think our offensive line will grow, our defensive line will grow into it, but we have to have someone at the helm that can really operate and move the chains. And we're not moving the chains as much as I'd like to see our chains moved. And if we to have with a two-quarterback system or a three-quarterback system in order to do what they do best, then we'll have to do that."
Â
Crenshaw sees increased workloadFreshman running back Charlie Crenshaw earned his first start of the year last week and carried the ball a season-high 10 times for 31 yards. He also had a pair of receptions in the game. Crenshaw is in his first year at Valley after a stellar career at Wetumpka High where he was selected all-state.
